She visited Jean (on the left in the photo) and family at Penrhiwceiber and Joan Rees and family. Susan wanted to see a castle, and enjoyed Caerphilly Castle where she was also able to take photographs of the Tommy Cooper memorial statue.

Cyfarthfa Castle was included in her short stay, and up the Graig mountain to view the area from above.

Susan’s daughter Alison and grandson Corley visited Ysgol Gymraeg, Abercynon to experience school life through the medium of Welsh.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s recycling champion mascot made a trip to Tonteg to meet the local Guides and Brownies and help them obtain their proficiency badge in recycling.

Rhys makes sure every child he meets realizes how important it is to recycle and encourage more people to get involved.
